Something to lighten the dark mood
It’s nice to know that there are those out there who understand and think as we do.
I’m telling you, I will end up with a farm with chickens one day where I grow my own food if the world continues as it is going. I know that seems alarmist, but sometimes society depresses me.
But there’s hope…there is always hope.

It amazes me the specifics found in animal law…people just don’t stop to think about things like discrimination and custody battles regarding animals. It is comforting to know that there is someone out there who cares and is in a position to really do something about it.

My husband always thought it would be better to live on a farm and be self-sustaining. The idea used to irk me but these days, I’m starting to reconsider.

I thought about you the other day when I was reading an article for my Victorian Lit. class. It was talking about animals being lifted by hot air balloons for spectacle until the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals got involved and brought a case to court about it. I was a little amazed that these kinds of societies have been around for so long - I thought it was a more recent thing.

Claire… sometimes I agree with you. I think living on a farm would sometimes be more satisfying.

Aww you thought of me. Yeah, the SPCA and other animal organizations have been around for a long time. It feels good to know that people have been concerned with animals for so long.
