Yeah, I left the window open

Were you around for the deluge on Friday afternoon? I was. So was my poor car.

Cruising home on I4 - I thought it would be a good idea to chill with the windows down, singing at the top of my lungs. What I didn’t do was roll up my passenger side window after I got home. I played outside with the beagles, trying to get the bastards to use the grass instead of my wood floors (we are having potty-training regresssion problems with Pip). I marveled at the throaty rumble of the thunder and smiled at the thought of rain. My yard needed a drink.

So the kids and I sat on the couch, watching the rain. I didn’t think to look outside to check my windows - I always roll them up. Not this time. There was a good inch and a half of rainwater sitting in the bottom of the passenger side. I am offically an airhead. Used all my towels, and I mean every single one of them, to clean up the water. And now she sits there, windows open with a can of DampRid in her in the hopes that she doesn’t stink. I hate the smell of rancid water.

Go to The Red Square Lounge - little place on Orange (between Pine and Church) and ask for Sarah. She’s a great bartended - makes the best cosmo’s and she’s damn cute too. It’s a tiny place, bathed in red (of course) and it’s got a nice atmosphere. As usual, the music is a little too loud, but I didn’t care. I had a great time none the less. Also, they have Guiness on Tap so my goober-honey was happy. Yummy.

Doing nothing for the holiday. Enjoying time with the family. I didn’t even buy sparklers this year. I think we are going to just chill out and watch movies, now that we have Netflix again.

Yeah, it seems to be working. That stuff is a miracle! I was praying that I didn’t start some crazy ecosystem in there with all that moisture, but it seems to be evaporating quite well. There is a slight funk in it, but nothing that a big of baking soda and a good cleaning won’t take care of!

Had a great time out with you guys. Don’t think I’ll be going back to the Red Square though. Me, Communism, Guinness and Jack Daniels is a combustible mixture….and the smokin’ hot bartenders weren’t going to keep me out of any trouble either.
    Eso es la vida, whatcanyado.

I’m glad you had fun, beyond the whole communism thing.

I need to find a small bar similar to that one without the political overtones, with guiness on tap. Man, if I could just get Strongbow on tap my life would be complete. The only place I know that has it is a tiny pub in Altamonte. Yummy stuff.
