Sunday Afternoon

So, what is there to do on a Sunday?

I am enjoying the new space in my office. I can’t help but giggle every time Pip runs in here and noses me, expecting to be allowed on my lap. I indulge the little bastard, but I’m not getting much done in the way of homework.

Bought Cat a card and I am going to send it off on Monday. And I just realized that I was hungry. Foooood. Need foooood.

David is playing Star Wars and I don’t expect him to get off the couch any time soon. He has reached geek-gamer status, and it warms my heart.

I got a new Spawn figure. She’s badass and I need more figures.
My last trip to the Sanrio store was highly unsatisfying. Why did they have to kill of Badtz Maru? He was the coolest. I have now settled into a facination with Nyago (who I can never find in the store) and Chococat. Damn them for not making the cool ones avaliable!

Last night felt Twilight Zone-ish. We worked on the house most of the day and around 8 we went to target to purchase a new desk lamp for me. The old one, while cool, did not have the space it needed before. So, we went to my favorite place in the world. We took the back roads, through Colonial Town and it seemed to be forever before another car joined us, traveling the strangely desolate streets of that neighborhood. That area is always busy. Always. But there was no one on Virginia, and I don’t think we saw anyone till Bumby - wierd. When we got to target the parking lot was strangely empty, and a sickly feeling settled into my stomach. It felt like everyone got some memo about not leaving the house, but that memo never made it to my door. The shopping expierence was brief (but expensive, because as usual, we did not stick to just getting one thing). We realized we were hungry so we set off to the Baldwin Park Publix (there was an artilce in Newsweek about the I4 corridor and it referred to Balwin Park as a “yuppie villiage” - that made me smile). Again. Very few cars. Maybe 8 cars in parking lot at the grocery store. Strange. I don’t know why the whole shopping thing sat so strangely with me, but it did.

I was very happy to come home. Very happy.

Time to go back to slacking….I …uh… mean work.

And I love iTunes…I get an iTunes allowance !!!!!

Nice! She-Spawn. I’ve toned down my toy purchases, opting for the zombie/vampire comics IDW Publishing puts out. Although, there was this ‘biker chick’ toy McFarlane put out that looked so sleezy and trampy, I may have to find one!

Also The Creech is on my list… and unfortunately the cheaper places to find the figures don’t seem to carry them anymore.

So hey, would you guys be interested in a comic book store/toy store afternoon excursion sometime? We could hit a few places and see what they have to offer.

That sounds like a great plan to me! That sounds like oodles of fun.
Spawn is putting out Clive Barker’s Infernal Circus (or something similar) I want the chicks. They rock.

Yeah, the women have great forms. Not only are they sexy, but they balance out all the testosterone :P
Are you coffee people? We could load up on caffeine and then check out the toys. The main place I go to is ACME Comics in Longwood, on 434 near the intersection with 17-92.
