Happy Zombie Bunny Day

I have tried to reconcile the Christain and Pagan intermixing of Easter. Easter usually falls near the Venernal Equinox, a time of rebirth of the land. That’s what Spring is, after all. A rebirth. Easter is celebrates the resurrection of Christ. Okay. So Christ comes back from the dead and the land is reborn.
I’ve decided to take a wholly un-PC view of this holiday (because I’m me and I do that kind of thing) and call this the Zombie Bunny Day. Rabbits rise from the dead. Consider it my own blending of the two faiths.
For me Spring begins when Seemore blooms, when my car is overed in a fine dusting of pollen and when my sinuses go to hell because of all the dust in air. I celebrate Spring with each flower and each butterfly and I pay attention to the changes in the world around me. That’s how this slacker Pagan does it.
I wanted to plant a tree this year, but I don’t own my property so I will just resign myself to watering my plants and marveling at my weed-ridden yard.
It’s a good day to go to the dog park, by the way. Just thought you should know.

I fertilized my yard and did lots of landscaping this weekend. I’ll call that enough for two of us so consider yourself covered for the year. I also like the idea of the Happy Zombie Bunnies…they also eat brains, but only the brains of Ginger Bread Men.
