It’s just a scan, dear.

So I went. They poked me. I don’t know why I thought they could have done the scan without pumping my veins full of dye, nor do I know why I thought that dye immediatly meant something blue or black colored. It was a clear dye. I’m sure it made my chest cavity look all purdy beneath the scan thingy that they scanned me with. The people at the office were quite nice. They paid for my parking (yay for that!) and ushered me directly into the scan. The IV required a huuuuuge needle. Actually, I don’t know how big it was but I do know it hurt like hell. I didn’t look. I’m a scardy-meow.
So, they apparently had to pump me full of this mess in order to check for clots in my lungs. I don’t know how spikey, poke-in-the-ribs translates into blood clot, but I’m just a layman. The test itself didn’t take long, but setting up the IV, getting me in the CAT scan doughnut (that’s what the machine looked like), and getting the whole thing started that took a while.
He warned me that I would feel warm. He wasn’t kidding. Like liquid heat, the dye rushed through me and it felt like I was being illuminated from the inside out. I also felt like I peed my pants. It was that “warmness in the pants” feeling, but it was just the dye. So, all is over and done with. I should get the results back shortly. I get to deal with more docs on Friday.
Sometimes I think self-medication is the way to go.
On that note, I should start paying attention in class…. bye bye. Nite nite.

I’m glad everything went well. I do not envy you and the IV. I’m a huge scardy HULK when it comes needles. Hell you could call me a scardy SULK. FRANK CRY! I remember once as a kid having to have three people hold me down just so they could give me a shot in the ass. I was spry I guess.

Well since we are completly ignorning my health issues and have better things to do with this thread….
Ratchet RULES on the PSP.
So does Lumines, which is serious tetris-ish crack. They are starting to untilize the PSP platform.
And yes… I want Loco Roco
