  • Oblivian still makes me happy
  • Bug bombs make the roaches very unhappy.
  • Sitting on your porch for 4 hours with the TV and X-box to kill time amuses the people the drive by the house.
  • My brain hurts.
  • I need a lobotomy.
  • I’m alternatly jealous and joyful about Cat’s move.
  • I miss Duckhunter…what a silly and fun game
  • Coffee is the new water.
  • Robin Williams make me pee my pants.
  • Voodoo is more chill than Val when it comes to sitting on the porch for the duration of the bug bomb.
  • I am learning to like black beans.
  • I seem to be gaining weight, I think because of my meds.
  • This makes me unhappy.
  • My new earrings came and they are pretty.
  • I need to go to a dietician (or how ever you spell that.
  • I miss the dog park.
  • I had a wonderful dream last night – it involved trees and my house in Germany.
  • Top Chef makes me laugh.
  • I can sit on the front porch and not smoke….
  • I need to keep telling myself that.
  • David does this adorable thing where he’s pretending to ride a bike to make me laugh.
  • I think computers are cool.
  • I got more toys…and one of them is a little cat-creature that says “Save the Whale”
  • My toys rule.
  • Now it’s time to get my lobotomy.

Yup. On the porch. We couldn’t go back in the house because of the 4 hours of bug-bombing. :)

We put the tv and the xbox on the porch and ran an extension cord from the power outlet on the back porch. It was quite funny.

I thought it was quite brilliant! We get an A for resourcefulness.

Just reading this again days later and it triggered a memory from childhood…I begged to put the dining room table outside and eat dinner, at the dinner table, with forks and knives, mashed potatoes and everything, outside on the lawn…I got my wish when my parents re-finished the hardwood floors in the house…I was in heaven. I also got to color in my dad’s recliner under the birch trees. Sometimes childhood wasn’t all bad. :)

David mentioned taking the little table in the kitchen so that we could eat our dinner out there. I’ve been afraid of the porch since I quit smoking (I still associate it with that icky habit) but I think my X-box experience reinvigorated that love for the front. :)

And yes, childhoods can be punctuated with that kind of magic.
