I drive to work every morning, taking the I-4 onramp at Ivanhoe. I’ve seen these beautiful, big geese waddling about around that on ramp for years. This morning I came up on them while they were crossing the road. Of course, I stopped. Then this fuckhead flys up to my butt, honking and flashing his lights. Well the geese were slow and didn’t move very fast, so I stayed put. I wasn’t about to move so that jerkoff could kill one of them. He got impatient and flew around my right side, nearly clipping one of the geese. I waited until the last one crossed and then I floored it.
We had words on I-4. I chased that asshole, cutting him off (he was an older Marine, as I read on the license plate) and then going 40. He wasn’t pleased because there was a semi on our left and I kept that fucker there until I got off at Michigan.
I hope his tires fall off. I really do.

I think people really need to get some perspective when it comes to their commute. Some of that shit has just gotten totally out of hand.

Well, more importantly, you shouldn’t be in a rush to squish geese. Stupid rushed drivers.

Isnt it illegal to run over the geese and swans and ducks in orlando?
if not it should be… I stop for animals too!

Taking River downtown to the History Center for the last two weeks has opened my eyes to the crazy drivers. It really is a luxury to be so close to work and not drive on the roads. A few times we almost got in a wreck because of stupid people flying by not paying attention to anything.
I am glad you held your ground and did your best to protect the animals.

I had to. I like birds, a lot!! and yes, traffic is a bitch. I long for a community where we can walk to the stores and people let geese cross the road.
Think I need to live in the country.

Yeah, drivers make it dangerous for geese and bicyclists, dammit!!

I had a similar experience on a road near the UPS warehouse over there; a guy nearly hit a turtle I was stopping for so I got in front of him on a two lane road and did under the speed limit. Bastard.

I’ve had this experience a few times, but I’ve never had someone get so irate from it. The Delaney Park area where I used to live had two lakes. When I had my Vespa, I protected a family of ducks on Summerlin so they could go from lake to lake. I don’t see why people can’t just be nice…
