Portland Wanderings…

Links, Roam July 25th, 2006

Holy shit! Dog parks galore!
I think our puppies would be very very happy.

Metroblogs Portland
An interesting place to get info about Portland…

Sustainable Living!
Cat and I talked about this… so I found some interesting info.

Dinner Cruise
David took me on a cruise like this (although this looks a lot classier) and I loved it. Perhaps we should all make a date, eh?

A Japanese Garden
I think Cat already linked this, but I thought I would restate it :)

The Farmer’s Market
Again… I think Cat already linked this, but it’s a nice site.

And a Chinese Garden!
This is going to be a day trip.

Birdies and such.
I liked this so much here, I can’t wait to see what Portland brings to the experience.

If you need to get around..
I am going to use this a lot :)

Beer, beer, glorious beer!
Kudos for you if you get that movie reference (I think Julie will get it)

Okay… I really should get back to work now…. damn work… it interrupts my surfing

OK, I haven’t figured out a cool enough present for posting these…but the Japanese Garden is one link I did not know about…and I am SOOOOOO excited. I called Brian on the phone, squeeling over it! :)

Ok, so I am sitting at work bored off my ass…it’s about 6:00 here and I keep checking out all of these links. I’ve already marked on my special, hidden away calendar, all the dates of the festivals and special events. Not that I am planning out the entire duration of 2006 or anything…I just don’t want to miss anything interesting. I’m thinking of volunteering at the Farmer’s Market…although I am going to check out the Beaverton one first since it will be B’s and my immediate community. I almost want to wait to do everything until you get here…but then again I doubt that I will be able to contain myself. Ok, so I won’t go see everything my first week there. B said he would sit on me if he had too. :)

ROFL… I think that when we all get out there we should find a particularly beautiful restaruant and celebrate. I wouldn’t dream of asking you to wait for us. The gardens are calling you…. do your hear them…. they are saying “Helloooooo…. Caaaat…. come and visiiiiiiit…” You should heed the call of the gardens. But I will demand one thing. You may not go to the dog park without the beagle boys. They must be present for that first expereince. :) I can’t WAIT!!.. is it March yet?

Ok, I will not visit the dog park prior to The Beagle’s arrival. This I promise. I like the restaraunt idea, as well. I will keep my eyes open for the perfect one too! Just think…from the time B and I settle in there…5 full months later you will be arriving!
