Planning Outages

I rode in a truck today. We had the lights on. I felt cool.

Mom’s gift finally came in the mail. She sent me The Davinci Code. I think I am one of 2 people on this earth who have not read this book so before I delve into the world of Harry Potter I am going to cruise through this little piece of literature and enjoy myself.

I know. You read “Erica is going to read Harry Potter” And I am as shocked to admit this as you are to read it. But I realize now, 4359275 years after my first bad expierience with rude Harry Potter loving customers at Borders, that it was the parents that were nuts, not the story. I should celebrate something that pulled kids away from the TV and into their imagination. So, Julie has the set. Once she finishes unpacking I am going to steal them from her. So, after years of resisting, I am joining the cult of Harry Potter. I hope all you fans are happy now.

I rode with one of the inspectors today. It was lots of fun. Rode into the back end of Baldwin Park where they are still building and saw them laying pipe. It’s amazing that they can suck all the water out of the ground and bury pipes 60 feet down. Tim explained how they do it, but I was too busy gawking at the backhoe in the pit to pay attention. It’s amazing what these machines can do. And there is something amusing about sweaty construction workers flirting with me. I’m just not used to it. Oh, and construction workers have the most interesting mulletts. I saw the coolest one ever. I wish I had my camera.

Pip is eating the couches. I’m about to duct tape his mouth shut, the fucker. (this is a joke people. Don’t call animal control on me). I can’t seem to find enough ways to distract him from chowing on the furniture. My house is a fucking wreck and looks terrible. I can’t keep anything clean. There’s hair everywhere. And all my books and movies are in my office because he eats those too. But he’s damn cute when he cuddles. It’s a trap I tell you. I get all pissed off when he eats something and then he bores into me with his dark chocolate eyes and I can’t be mad, at least, not for long.

Looking forward to a busy weekend. Plans are (or will be) set for both Friday and Saturday. Comics and chicks. Good stuff, I tell you. The boys have a vet appointment and I am taking my happy ass to urban outfitters to get a nice pair of pants with the check mom sent to me. I love my mother.

It’s nice having Julie living so close. We are planning study groups for those of you who will have classes with us. It’s a good thing too, since she doesn’t drink. Oh, and I had the best asparagus roll last night with her and David. I loved that place, but I forgot the name. I want asparagus rolls every night for dinner. With their hot tea. Mmmmm. I need to learn how to make sushi.

I have to go back to cleaning now. The litter box calls and I am trying to resist. Cats should learn to use the damn toiliet.

Heather – I think I will. All this homebody stuff keeps me out of trouble.

Chris – you know you just have to call us to get the movable type tutorials. There are several online that I use on a regular basis, but if you want help we are always (usually) home. This weekend is a little different, but I start school in 2 weeks so I figured I should get the socializing in while I can.
And yes, we have kids. They are hairy, slobbery and the cutest things I have ever seen. Pip was “kissing” the window when I was sitting outside. That dog will kiss anything.

Ya know, I have yet to read those potter books myself, but Jeni swears by them and she’s a fairly intelligent chick. Enjoy!

Yeah! That’s it! Great stuff. Great prices. Great service and interesting big fish in the fish tanks.

I wonder if they will end up as someone’s dinner.
