I am a nerd. And I love LOTR. And I am moving to Oregon come June. I’ve been researching cities, and this popped up. I think it’s heaven.

My only negative thought is this: planned communities are all about conformity. The fine print says that you have to go through a petition process to plant anything not within their idea of landscaping. ie. if you want to have a tomato plant, “The Lord and Lady” who run the place must approve it. I know you probably won’t be actually moving there but after watching that 7 minutes presentation, I read the small details.

I never got that far into the fine print. I was just drooling about the houses. I hate homeowner’s associations. I think they are evil. I bet they hate beagles too.
