Because it’s Friday

I’ve been stressed out for too long. Today, it’s happy thought day. I like lists, so I shall procede.
Things that make me happy.
- Pumpkins
- Fake spiderwebs flying in the wind
- Dancing with D in the kitchen
- Cooking for people
- Making a mess in the kichen
- Good food
- Pumpkin beer
- My new shirts
- Beagles that purr
- NPR
- Skin Sin (it’s a body lotion, you pervs!)
- Coffee
- Sharpies
- Study groups
- lala.com
- Conversations on the porch
- Dreaming of Portland
- The sound of D’s voice
- Happy socks
- Happy pants
- Rocket Dog shoes
- Sleeping late
- My bed
- When the cats cuddle instead of using me as a launching pad
I think that’s enough for now. Many things make me happy, but I need to get a boatload of work done. Happy Friday.

Heh heh, well I am feeling better now that I took my head out of my ass, started talking to students, and gave myself a slight confidence boost. Sometimes all you have to do is change your mind.

That’s brilliant. It really is that simple, but I think we (and I am including myself in a big way) get distracted by all of the stress. I had a moment last night when I found out a professor was talking me up to the class (I freaked out right before class and went home, cried, and took a nice shower). That made me feel better. It’s the little things, really.
