I think I like coffee
Animal Madness, Connections, Everyday, Not so sane December 14th, 2006
I really wanted a coffee last night, right around 8. Bad idea. Mania has plagued me for days and adding coffee just would have prolonged the effect. Or even worse , upped the effects, where I live in a world of run-on sentences and lots of commas but absolutely no periods or semicolons because that’s just what mania feels like for those of you who are normal enough to think I am crazy. Yeah, that is kind of what it feels like. But damn, I love coffee, and that was what I was originally talking about. This comes up because I had the worst coffee breath this morning. I don’t know what it was. I haven’t changed my coffee and use the same soy milk. Who knows.
This morning, with Pip and just a nip of cold in the air, I ran. D took Puck one way and Pip and I hauled off in the opposite direction, crossing Virginia just past the elbow. Pip seemed uneasy at first. Every few blocks he stopped, whipped around to stare at the empty street behind us, put his nose in the air and sniffy, before turning back around so the run could progress. David walked Puck, who also seemed ill at ease with the new morning walking/running structure. But Pip and I had a good, pavement-pounding jog. I feel like I worked out. It feels good. Our lesson for the day - socks make a difference when you run.
It’s taken me all day to write this. I write a line, then the phone rings or I eat or something and this window falls behind everything else.
Tonight..our plans are as follows. Hang out with Vanya for a bit before she heads off for 3 weeks of family fun *sarcasm*. I ran by her house this morning, tempted to break in and send my dogs after her cats, but I thought better of it and jogged on. Oh! And I ran past Julie’s new casa, which is also on my running route. How fun is that. So, yes, D and Vanya and I are probably going to dinner and hanging out because she leaves tomorrow AM.
I have more to say, but I should post this before I fall deep into distraction again. It’s fun when work is there to move your mind through the day.
About

Did you see my comment about Lush?
Yeah !! Was she there last night around…uhm, 8ish? What does she look like?
No, unfortunately she was working her other job - Delia’s. She works tonight though. She looks nothing like me but her nametag would say, “Alysun”.
That’s too bad. I can’t make another trip out there unless I am driving a fully-armed tank, because that area stresses me out and I get overly aggressive. It’s safer for everyone if I stay in Colonialtown… Tell her I said HI! Perhaps I can see her next month, once the stupid holiday shopping bonanza thins out.
So what did you buy there?
2 jar of Prince shaving stuff, Alkamar and Honey I Washed the Kids (D likes the honey stuff), Big Shampoo, a pink face bar (I forgot the name).
Good stuff. I live for their Jungle conditioner and the Recon hair softener. I also have a few bath bombs and Silky Underwear-which is wonderful for our long bike rides.
I didn’t like a couple of the shampoo bars, but overall I really love their stuff. I use one of the massage bars as a perfume thingy.
I heart Lush.
What do you normally buy?
I bought the Prince stuff for Chris Patten (whom you know) last time I went. He’s crazy for the stuff. I’ve written in my blog what I like: Bathos and Amandopondo bubble bars. I am not too keen on soaps because I think all soap except Dove body wash makes me feel sticky afterwards. The Elixir bath melt is awesome and Pleasure Treasure massage bar’s scent has really grown on me. I’d like to try the shampoo bars but again, I am picky. And that Silky Underwear looks awesome for bike rides, you’re right.
