Fun With Camera Phones
Posted on | September 15, 2004 | 4 Comments
This cell thing is a distraction at work.
I am going to start posting pics here (once I figure out what I am doing) so you can see the joy in my day to day activities.
I’m excited because I get to go out in the field next week, provided there is no impending hurricane. Trouble = when the guys go to trouble calls like a person not having water. It’s interesting and dirty work and seems to be rewarding for most of the guys.
Tonight. Class. Wine with Judith (I hope)
I am really looking forward to this weekend and I hope that it will be a weekend full of rest and homework. I miss the normal routine. Hurricanes distract too much from my everyday joy…
I have blue nails right now, and no one at work seems to like them!
Think they would be shocked to see me in blue hair?

Some mobiles do have a MIDI editor built-in so you can write your own ring tones, but in order to make it sound at all decent you have to have a lot of time on your hands.

They should hook cell phone rings directly to the owner’s spinal column. That’ll prevent frivelous cell phone use.
Would be cool if you could encrypt the folder where incoming pix are stored.

My ringer is not terribly bad. It’s “Clubbed to Death” by Rob Dougan – from the Matrix movies. I wish it was the actual song, but its just a cheezy ring. They need to make them less annoying – or allow you to customize your own ring! That would rock.
I did use the camera to take a pic of a book I want! It comes in handy.
David and I were going to send each other “naughty” pics, thought about it almost at the same time but neither one of us did it. Try to explain THAT to your co-workers! “Look, my boyfriend sent me a pic!” …. “Uhm….never mind”
My co-workers are really nosy and every time the phone rings, they think a picture is coming in and they want to see it. I rarely let them though.

I hope you don’t have one of those horrible ringtones for yours!
The camera part is incredibly handy. Although I don’t have one, I can see how it’d be fun and useful. “Honey, it’s THIS type of mustard”.
My boss has a new camera phone. I had to sort out why her calls weren’t ringing, etc. Was tempted to snap a schlong pic, put it as the desktop. Surprise!
