D is the man

I’m finally in a city where Cirque tours, but I thougt I wouldn’t be able to see this one. It’s kind of expensive (how much were the tickets at Disney again?). Cortero is a newer show and it opened on March 1. We can see the tents eretectd Downtown for the show. D and I kept saying “well…. maybe in a week or two.” Well, D is the man, because he got us tickets for next month. I totally didn’t expect it !
He also took me to my first Cirque experience in Orlando. For Valentine’s day, he took us to the HOB and then to see amazing acrobats bouncing through windows in an elevated wall via trampolines and beautiful men soaring on red curtains. Their bodies, their strength and grace amazed me. Theatrics thrill me, but being anti-animal circus, I don’t get the opportunity to go to the big top. I prefer Circque. Their costumes are magnificent. The music moves me, it’s just an amazing expereience.
So, I gotta date on April 8th.

Have you seen the previews for the Circque show that uses all the Beatles Music? I dont remember what it is called, but I saw a snippet of it on the grammy’s. I dont watch the grammy’s but that one was fabulous.

I have. I forgot what it was called, but it was quite a coup that they were able to obtain the rights to the music. I imagine that it’s going to be an amazing show.

It’s called Love, and I actually wondered about the music rights as well. I was tempted to see it in Vegas, but since everything there costs a small fortune I decided against it.

I know this may sound weird – but what are the seats/chairs like in the Cirque big top? Are they like movie seats, bleachers, some combo? I am trying to get information from the troupe itself to determine if the seats will accomodate me, to no avail…so now I’m looking for someone who has gone to a show to tell me what the chairs are like. I think you can see my email address…any info you can offer would be much appreciated!
