Resolution and Confirmation

Shifting is easier when done with purpose.
While the heart of the conversation was never had, I realize sometimes people just fuck up, and that’s all there is to it. If there had been malicious intent in the action, then the list would have gotten shorter. The attempts were made, conversations shared. I am happy enough to leave the bitterness well enough alone. It taints the sweetness that fills my life right now.
Marriage plans are well underway. It looks as if we are going to get hitched as soon as possible and worry about the celebratory stuff next year. Planning a wedding takes time, time that we don’t have at the moment. So, plan for a party sometime after the new calender year. I’ll give you plenty of notice when it will happen.
I am loving the idea of the solidification (at least legally) of our relationship. I never planned for it to happen this way; this fly-by-night union. Actually I am red-faced sometimes, when the looks of shock rattle my nerves. I know I am eating a least a little bit of crow. I trumpeted by intentions of remaining a single girl, without children, across the globe and back again. The children thing will not change, trust me. But when I bellowed and blustered I didn’t take one thing into account: David. He is, after all, the wild woman tamer. And I am tame now. And in love. And blissfully happy that we are going to take over the world together. So, its fun to surprise people. I am still quite in awe myself. I am going to be a wife. If there are any snide comments about my place being in the kitchen, I will punch you. Hard.
I am at work “working” on overtime. I took over some new responsibilities and so instead of hiring someone else to cover this new territory, they asked me to work overtime. I am more than willing to put Saturday morning in. The extra pay will be nice.
Don’t know what we are doing tonight. Got any ideas?
