I feel you. I know you WANT to have that amazing relationship and it is so tempting to think you can get there as an adult. But your dad is never going to be to you what your mom is. And it's OK to let him into your life without TOTALLY letting him into your life. Establish your boundaries and stick to them. Good luck!
