At Work

Yesterday didn’t go as planned.

I did get the application in with the social security office, but it was a hassle. They wanted my birth certificate, which was still in my office at home. I explained that they didn’t need it because I am an American citizen. But, because I stated I had been born in Germany, her feathers ruffled in an ugly manner. Back and forth we went, till finally, she decided to take my word and continue with the application.

Then the printer connection dies. She isn’t sure the application went through. I’m pissed. But, there’s nothing I can do except wait 3 weeks to see if I get a new social security card.

Went to lunch with Julie and her Mom. I recommend the peanut curry at the Thai House, and the thai coffee. Fucking nummy.

I was supposed to get papers done. Didn’t. Instead we fucked around for the rest of the afternoon, trying to get the car situation straightened out (David’s car went to the dealership again for the mystery noise) and then watched The Chronicals of Riddick. A lot of people hated that movie, but I loved it. I purchased the director’s cut, which makes more sense than the theatrical cut.

We went to bed after a bottle of wine, and today I am working. I hate working on Saturdays.
