Goodbye 2008
Posted on | December 31, 2008 | 2 Comments
The calender year is passing tonight. D and I won’t really be celebrating. I think the week stuck in the house due to the snow storms kind of killed any residual excitement for celebration. Plus, I still have a lot of stuff to take care school wise. But we did buy champagne. I won’t open it…he will have to. Exploding bottles freak me out.
But if you were wondering – we did move. The house is amazing. Things at work are really bad, and I am actively searching for a new job. But there’s a lot to be grateful for.
There’s a lot I could say about the passing year, but I have decided that living in the moment is much healthier for me. I’m not looking back. After years of silence, I have repaired a relationship with my father, and am enjoying the strange but satisfying letters we are sharing. Much has been gained, much lost and much learned.
And with that, I wish you all a happy and safe New Year. May all your wishes come true.
