The Good News

Don’t get too excited. Neither one of us have a job yet, but the universe is nibbling on my resume. I had three possibilities pop up this week. I went to an interview – the job is a Project Coordinator for an Electrical firm. Let’s hope that goes further. A second call came for a similar position but I missed the call and when I called back, I got the guy’s voicemail, but I left a message. Still no response. The third is an office manager for a small renovation company that is in my area. They do amazing work on houses, and we all know how much I love old houses.
Oh, you don’t know?
I fucking love old houses.
My two favorite houses, my current residence and our place on Nebraska Street in Portland were fantastic, had such charm and personality. Look at my pictures. I love old houses.
Also, we found out David will be eligible for unemployment. Add that to the school checks we got and I think we will be okay for a few months. In cutting off cable, we are going to save some cash. But we did buy an AppleTv to stream things to the TV. Dude, cut me some slack….the bitch needs Battlestar.
And I am still working on the edits for my novel. I’ve become paralyzed, fearing that every replaced word is going to destroy the integrety of the text.
Then I remembered I have 2 months to finish it.
It’s time to get over my bullshit.
In other news, I am getting my first haircut in almost two years tomorrow. I’m excited. I’m getting bangs…
Now, it’s time to go.
