On the verge of a long weekend

I don’t willingly go to Cracker Barrel, but the breakfast was free.
The direct boss took us out this morning for a little “thank you” grub. It was nice, and it felt good to be part of such a nice group. I am surprised sometimes at how generous people are here. They really give! So, from the Response section, I got money. The Inspectors just gave me a hard time, but they give that to me every day. From the boss (the direct supervisor) I received a doggie-cookie jar! At least he understands me enough to know that I appreciate something like that. The director of the division gave me a gift card to Bath and Body Works (the smelly store) and Karen, the lead admin here, bought me wind chimes. I love wind chimes, but for some reason I have yet to boy them for the house. All in all, although I am not really into the holiday, I am having a good time.
I do dread heading over to the in-law’s house for XXXX-mas, but duty calls. I love his family, I just wish sometimes they would try harder to understand D, and at least pretend to be interested in who and what he is. It’s frustrating, and I get a little angry because I don’t like seeing him unnerved by the situation.
So the plans for the weekend go something like this: Tentative plans on Saturday with Ms A and Mr N, taking puppies to Rollins on Christmas day, and heading to David’s family’s house on X-mas, going to Pulse with Chris at some point during the holidays. Other than that, it’s all up in the air, kids. I shall be in my happy-pants if anyone needs me.
Ohhh, yeah, I get off early today. Yay for me!
