It’s Cold Outside

The gifts have rolled in and I am thankful.
I celebrated the Winter Solstice without much fanfare, taking a moment to send blessings and a small prayer for my grandmother, but beyond that I toasted good friends and surrounded myself with love. Today is perfect. It’s chilly, overcast and quiet. The grocery store was an adventure this morning, but even pushy women in SUVs could not temper my smile. I shall make cookies, watch a movie or 3, and we will finish the invites. That is all I plan on doing today. For those of you who must travel, I wish you luck – traffic’s going to be a bitch.
I love overcast days.
