Back to the site idea:
I want the first month’s theme to encompass beginnings. It seems fitting. So, here’s a plan and let me know if it works for the two of you. I will get to work on a piece or 2. I will get a forum set up through this site (but it will be a private one so the three of us can edit/rework/share without anyone seeing anything) and once we have a little stuff together then we can start working on the design and concept itself. I am hoping that through the process of putting together the first month’s works that we find a name and solidify an idea….
So, think of beginnings and give me a wee bit o’ time to get the forum back up.

Just a little FYI, the blog uses your one available database, so you’ll have to get Marty to upgrade to a different plan that offers more than one database. It really shouldn’t be a big deal. I think the plan right above the one you currently have, has 2 databases.

I left out that the forum requires a database, in case that wasn’t clear.

I thought there was a forum still sitting on the server somewhere…. I wanted to delete it and redo the forum so it fits the current site.

I deleted the forum when I installed WordPress. WordPress uses a MySeql database (or whatever its called) as did your forum. You are only alloted one Seql database on the current plan. I believe that you will need a second one to run both forum and WordPress. Your movable type installation was using a different type of database (that actually wasn’t as good as a Seql database anyway.)

Unfortunately I am not as webpage savvy as I should be, so I can’t help you out there (which is why you have David) but we talked a bit about transformation….and since our general sentiment is based on that why not do an introductory of our ideas on transformation…go into some detail of how it relates to us and our vision for this site….and then each of us work on how transformation relates to us via writing/art…etc…..then maybe once we get started the name will come to us…like Joel suggested. We could even go off on a tangent with how many words there are for transformation….or carry the theme of it….i don’t know….i am just yammering out some thoughts as I had them….it’s like anything…once we jump in the rest is easy….hopefully

Slamerkin is a good book; however, the Emma Donoghue’s short stories, titled The Woman who Gave Birth to Rabbits, is excellent. It is now available on the bargain table in hardcover at Barnes and Noble.
