Biker Gang

So, I should get my wheels on Thursday. D and I are going to ride regularly throughout the wilds of Orlando, but I would love to set up some fun time getting onto paved (they must be paved due to our tires, which are teensy-skinny) paths and roll about experiencing the sights. I am going to pick up a book on paths through Florida…..wooo hoooo!
D got to ride today. the bastard……I’m jealous!

Every week some of the girls do a bike thing downtown, everyone hops on the bikes to bar hop. They have a blast.

See, that sounds like a good time, sans drinking and smoking….
I can’t bike drunk. I don’t want to end up in the ER with any kind of broken anything and with my grace, I would end up planting my face in a curb… (but it still sounds like a shitload of fun!)

Plus, ironically you can be charged with a DUI if riding your bike drunk. (not joking)

You can get a ticket if: you wear headphones, if you don’t have lights after dusk, or for not stopping at stop signs/lights.
Re: drinking. I’ve gone on 40 mile rides, then have hit a pub and gone back to riding. You metabolize the alcohol so quickly, you end up doing stupid (dangerous) things
Like racing taxi cabs and cutting cars off, etc.
I had friends who’d fill up their CamelBacks with wine
