Not the same old thing
Politics April 20th, 2005
The same old thing hasn’t worked. He’s one of us, albeit a touch snottier. This would piss off all the stiff-shirts in City Hall, and that’s just enough for me to want to vote for him! Sometimes taking a risk gives you the bigger, more satisfying payoff…..
About

I’ll vote for him. I’d rather have someone with no experience at this point. Veeery tired of business as usual, and Bill Frederick is just trying to use the situation to line his pockets. More old crooked politicians trying to grope for more power and money.
I wish we weren’t so disillusioned. I would like to have faith in the system again, but the system hasn’t had faith in itself for a long, long time!
Yeah, I guess it was naive of me to ever think that politicians served because they wanted to help their fellow citizens, not get some cash in the pocket. Governments have been corrupt on all levels for a long time, but the acceptance of it now is saddening. I don’t think people are educated enough to realize they are being screwed.
The sad part is that is not exclusive to Orlando, or even the States. I wish that people could take a test to find out why they were going into office- if it was to serve the greater good then they could run but if it was to serve their good then they are booted.
I feel bad, because there are people like my mom who are getting into local politics in order to make things better. It’s so hard to see those people past the rhetoric that other people spout.
