Bits about Seattle

Q. What is Metro’s policy regarding animals on buses?

A. Service animals for persons with disabilities ride without charge, as do small dogs that will fit in their owners’ laps. Large dogs, leashed, pay the same fare as their owner and may not occupy a seat, but should ride on the floor of the coach next to their owner.

Other animals, cats, etc. that are not service animals must be carried in appropriate pet carriers.

There’s a Monorail!

Interesting concept for maps

Doggie Parks. My beagles will be happy.

News throughout the area.

Artistic Seattle
The international fame of grunge bands Nirvana, Pearl Jam (and Soundgarden), the location of the grave of Jimi Hendrix are perhaps the first aspects of art and culture that come to mind. A fertile local music scene is enhanced by regular appearances from acclaimed artists in rock, jazz and classical music. Seattle boasts a large population of artists, supported in part by an innovative public arts funding program. For example, since1973 it has been a legal requirement that one percent of city capital improvement project funds (such as building a skyscraper) be spent on artworks. Year-round you will find something to sample from Seattle’s rich cultural scene from museums to art galleries to the performing arts. Seattle has professional symphony, ballet, opera companies and an active theatre community with 80 companies, 13 of which are professional.

Are you trying to make me cry!!!? I want to move to a REAL city so bad I can taste it. It’s only my years of Jedi Training that allow me to continue so calmly in the bastion of Conservative Whitism.

I don’t want you to cry…. or maybe I do…when we are driving to our date your eyes will be so full of water that you won’t be able to see where you are driving…and then before you realize it *TA DA* we will have accidentally arrive in Seattle with no choice but to set up shop and start over…

It is seeming more and more promising. Save the whole traffic thing…

I can not wait till you guys move there and I can come visit and pay homage to my Holy Site…..the international headquarters for Starbucks. :: sighs ::

And as for traffic, you are going to encounter that in any major city. That’s why Public Transportation is so awesome. As for the Beagles, you can go out and buy those “Service Dog” vests thingies. I see people do it all the time. And if anyone asks, you are training them. See? I’m evil, but in a GOOD way.
