I should be working on homework…but…
I left Maui’s today. I almost feel bad for the way I left. I didn’t give notice (which is very unlike me) but I have had it with that place. Plus, I am getting a hefty sum for my summer classes, so I think I can coast for a bit. That doesn’t mean I plan on remaining a bum, I am just going to take a bit of time to really concentrate on the end of school, and work on the work thing in a week or so. The one thing I regret is that a friend recommended me for the position. But I was lied to. The money isn’t there. The management is flightly and their in-fighting cripples the the unity for the rest of the workers. I fully intended on working out the remainder of my shifts, but I have found that school is more important that twenty bucks and fake smiles. It was a mistake, but I am making it a learning experience.
The bad part is, Julie quit today also. Sucks to be them.
To celebrate my departure, we went to the comic book store. David and I each bought a Spawn figure (thanks Nick for starting a trend!), and now I have The Redeemer posing on my computer. It’s appropriate I think. I will be redeemed and I will move on.
Strange sightings: a peacock walking around in Colonialtown. Probably lost, but the poor creature just didn’t understand that it had to cross the street, and quickly, or suffer the brutality of a bumper. It’s things like that, strange occurances that help me find faith. The beautiful bird was brave (or stupid) in the face of adversity. I will be the same.
Sorry to all about the Lost in Translation night. I am on hiatus from social life until school is over. One week and counting!!!!

Good for you for ending the torture at that place. Perfect timing for that bit of cash as well. The best thing you could do for yourself is what you’re doing, concentrating on school.
How is the Redeemer?? Damnit, I still don’t have that one. Him, the gasmask guy and The Creech. FYI, if you’re into the classic monsters, Toys r us has a ‘Monsters’ series with the Wolfman, Frankenstein, Dracula, etc.

The Redeemer is badass. I am looking into getting the Oz figures too…specifically Dorothy. I saw the monsters at Toys-R-Us… We may get those….but the computer desk is running out of space quickly! =)
