After coffee….

Take a gander at the trailer for Memoirs of a Geisha…But this is the Japanese trailer. There’s still no real site up for the american version.
I am going to use the info on this site to make me some sushi!! I love cooking at home, and find the experience of creating and then consuming my works of culinary art most enjoyable. And, I am fucking cheap, and get all pissy when I spend money on sub-standard cooking!
Good news for the Amazon! I wish that the rest of the world could get reactive, and understand that what we do the our Earth effects how we are to live with Her later…. But it’s a start.
Cruisin in a green car. I’m an advocate of that old fashioned type of transportation, it’s called walking. I don’t think that you can see and feel the nature of a place, especially a new place, without getting intimate with it’s crooks and crevices. I like the idea of these little cars, though. It would allow some who cannot do all that walking to explore places once off-limits to them. And, after hoofin’ it all over Chicago, sometimes the toes just need a break. It’s cute, and slow… I think I want one!
Starbucks getting all risque and shit! I am really waiting for the peace, love and happiness Christians to tell these morons to stuff it. Worry about poverty, the enviornment, not who someone chooses to boink! … (but I scream this all the time…it’s getting old) Anyway, Bravo to Starbucks for this!
The space between release and release! I hope it gets shorter, especially for those films I loved (like Kingdom of Heaven!)
Winter Park pays attention to architecture! About bloody time. Why does everyone sound so complacent about the destruction of architecturally important buildings? Makes me want to scream.
On that note…it’s work time!

I think at some point the studios will put more emphasis on DVD releases, especially if they continue to see slipping profits at the theaters. I think if they released DVD’s at the same time, I might invest in a nice Plasma tv and surround sound and never go to a theater again. While movies can be fun, I find lately I’m more irritated because there is inevitably some asshole (usually more than one) talking, fucking with their cell phones, or attending with a baby freshly from the womb. Consideration has seemed to go out the window in recent times.

Yeah, I have to agree. The movie experience just isn’t as much fun these days. Take into account driving through traffic, the million dollar concession stand (where they give you nassssty food) and theatres full of problems, well I would rather rewind, pause, smoke, piss, make popcorn and discuss at my leisure. There’s nothing better than watching movies with beagles on your lap… and the theatres can’t do that for me.

Agreed. I think the sima-reliese would be great, but what I see being the next big thing is what TiVo and Netflix are working on. They are working on pay per view that Bright House has, but not crappy like theres. Rent off yoru queue and they beam it directly to your TiVo. When you’re done with it it goes away and they beam you your next movie. Easy as can be, and for anyone that has used netflix we all know the queue is crack.
About the walkign thing. I so agree, but there are situation when motorized vehicles are necessary. These little green cars are cool, but I would much rather jump on a moped and cause my havoc that way. The little green car is way to easy to avoid.
