A recap of the weekend includes much alcohol, a movie and oodles of laughter.
On Friday it became offical - Bert the red VW became my car. Cat and Julie were kind enough to come with me to the title place. The tags were exchanged (Cat got to keep hers !! WOOHOO!) and we trekked off in my new car. Coffee and cigarettes were inhaled but we all had plans for the evening. We dispersed, looking forward to Saturday and Cat’s birthday. David and I tried to get our drink on while sitting on the porch, but it didn’t work out as planned. We did, however, plunge ourselves into the Return of the King. I cried 1/2 way through and keep sniffing snot until the last credit rolled. I love the movie and it makes me very sad to know that there is not going to be another Lord of the Rings. Very sad indeed.
Saturday was spent running errands in Bert. Dog store. Grocery store. Comics. Etc. The unfortunate side effect of hot car with no AC in Florida weather is we became exhausted and had to retreat to the house for a few hours before visiting Cat’s place.
Her birthday party was fun. I have always enjoyed her company and that of her husband, but I found that her friends are intensely interesting and I hope to see more of some of them in the future. David and I were left with just Cat and Julie at the end of the evening. We went home and slept.
Last night Vanya made an appearance and we enjoyed some time on the porch again. It was good to see her. I have missed her a great deal and I hope she fares well in her job search.
Today - we start school. Am I excited? Kind of. I have been slacking on everything except playing Ratchet and Clank for a month now. So getting back into the academic frame of mind is going to take some effort. It will be nice to have that kind of structure in my life. Without it I find that I sit on my ass too much. So, no more video games until both classes are over. OR I will just keep them to a minimum on the weekdays. We shall see.
Damn. I’m a game junkie.

sounds like a good time to me
As for my weekend i had a blast. David J. had the work get together in Clearwater. it was sooo much fun.
Saturday night was spent drinking for free, eating, gambling for fake money, dancing the night away, and more drinking.
Sunday was a glorious day. i spent hours on the beach. first i got to ride a jetski and that was so much fun. i understand now why so many people love them. i spent some time sitting under an umbrella for a bit. i went swimming in the gulf and the water was so beautiful. i got to ride the jetski a second time. which was so nice because the people running the event were looking for someone to take a child out and i volunteered to help them. it turned out that they got that taken care of without my help. however they had more spaces available for people to ride and they let me go again. ok so i got burned to a crisp but it was worth it.
The evening was as much fun as the day. the company david works for had arranged a pirate cruise. it was fun, again free drinks and food. i got a bit um.. buzzed. had alot of fun hanging out with david’s co workers. i got my face painted and took pictures of the boat and the sunset that was too awesome for words. by the end of the night i was in so much pain from the sunburn i could barely walk even tho i had a bit to drink i was still hurting. i came back to the room we were in and took a cold shower to try and make some of the heat coming from my body go away. in the end i had to take 2 tylenol pm just to stay asleep.
i have to say even tho i am still in some discomfort i would not have traded it for anything…
