Don’t forget you can thank Company A for their offer and ask if you can get back to them. If you feel like you’re comfortable, you can even tell them you’re waiting to hear back on another interview and would like to weigh your options. That might convince them to pony up some more bennies. (And don’t be shy about calling Company B, apologizing for potentially rushing them, and letting them know you have an offer from another company - you’d love to work for their company if they have a competitive offer. Blah blah.)

I can’t wait for the sign.

Voodoo had a really bad eye infection and he was covered in fleas when we got him, so I think bathing him for almost three days straight and putting goop in his eye for 2 weeks kind of built up his “getting sick karma”…

Poor Val… No offense , but I was kinda hoping that it was the other kitty, cause poor Val has enough issues.

So I am totally psyched for you and new work arrangements. You sound happy about it as well.

I got the job at B & N, but I turned it down, because the hours and the pay didnt even out. They wanted me all the time, but I got no (NO) compensation for it. It was minimum wage for a LEAD position. I was a little miffed. I feel like I wasted my time. Oh well.. back to the drawing board.

So… I am working on a sign for you… dont worry, you will love it. Its funny… its for when you are writing… tee hee… I will mail it to you when I am finished… its something to make you laugh when you see it! LOL… I can see the look on your face now… you are thinking WTF????

anywhooo… best of luck on your 2nd interview and all that… get to writing!

soooo… it was great to hear your voice last night… thanks for chatting. I felt good when I got off the phone with you, like it was a relief to talk to you. Knowing that you are happy where you are makes me feel pretty good too.

I have decided to put together a trip to visit… probably not till spring of next year… But I would like to see Portland before I die… so find me a good hotel and tell me what airport and all that… time to stockpile money… yippee… It will more than likely be just me, but maybe I can talk B and the kiddies in to it and we can spend an afternoon with you guys… and turn the rest into a family vacation kind of thing! I think that the kids would like it… I want to see the space needle too… (I know seattle, but how far really?) not go up in it, but see it! But we will have to see…

Also - what was the name of that book again - Bullies…..
I think that I “need” it…especially since I will be heading to half price soon.

well our weather has changed and cooled dramatically as well. I miss the rain and wind of hurricanes…but then…I am psycho like that!

I know how you feel about the whole partnership and financial status thing… it sucks to feel like you could be doing more if you just had a job… I know that things will pick up for you soon…

Did you hear about our truck situation? CRAZY! a finance company with a defunct title to our truck tried to repossess it. Well they actually did repo it, but it was done in such a shady way that the company that was authorized to repo it, returned it last night. sooo… we have it bac, but that doesnt make what this Finance company did right…they told B that he had to pay the balance on teh vehicle…someone else title…UGH!

Well, chica…
it sounds like you had a lot of fun dancing and eating and drinking and…. I am glad that you got out there and shaked your groove thang, lol… I would have loved to have seen that, as I am a Dancer (say it with a snotty accent) and not a dancer… I would have loved to be there just to people watch… that is my thing… mango mimosas? sounds tasty… have you ever had a peach bellini? yummy!

B and I had a date night, last friday… which never happens, so we went to Maggianos and got toasted and laughed all night about stupid stuff… we havent laughed like that in a long time… Just being together was fun again!

I am keeping my fingers crossed for you and the job hunt… OH YEAH! check this out… I took the ACT and SAT in high school and the CLAST in college at Valencia… apparently that is not enought to get my certification here in texas…NOW i have to take the THEA? what the hell is that and when is the SAT not good enough? and they called I had to go in and talk with some woman about my criminal record…yes I have one… no I didnt molest children, ugh… so I had to talk about my assault conviction…umm helloooo I was a minor and that record was expunged and sealed and whatever else they did to it… I gave that information willingly because I didnt want to get in trouble… UGH!
I just cut foot and now I must get a bandaid!
